SkyBox Labs, co-developer of Halo Infinite, brings Stela, the cinematic platformer about a young woman witnessing the final days of a mysterious ancient world, to Xbox One today. Stela will explore the desolation on Windows PC in Q1 2020.
As a once-thriving land lies dying, a young woman traverses the decaying remnants of her civilization in search of any last shreds of hope. Embark on a mysterious journey and guide the heroine across vast and lonely landscapes, populated only with dreadful creatures now claiming the world as their own.
Muted colors blanket the terrains, while the beacon of a monastery high in the mountains lights the only hopeful path. Roam the formerly vibrant world by solving massively scaled puzzles embedded in colossal monuments.
Focused on a single character, this touching story is told without dialogue, instead letting features of previously thriving locations tell the tale. The atmospheric experience is completed by an original ambient soundtrack by Vancouver-based studio A Shell in the Pit, composers of Wandersong and Rogue Legacy.
“For Stela, we really wanted to blend together a touching story with outstanding music and beautiful landscapes to make an experience that is grand in scale yet still personally intimate,” said Shyang Kong, Co-Founder, SkyBox Labs.
Stela is available for Xbox One for $19.99 USD.
